Hi GK Members!
Remember that one of your many benefits as a Golden Key Member is
access to thousands of dollars worth of scholarships!!
Below is a listing of Scholarships that are due April 1st!
So make sure to apply as soon as possible.
GK Scholarships:
- Pillars of Excellence Award
- This award recognizes at least one member for outstanding commitment to the Golden Key pillars of academics, leadership and service. (at least one award of $2,500!)
- Student Debt Reduction Award
- The Golden Key Student Debt Reduction Award assists at least one member with repayment of student loans. (at least one award totaling $5,000!!)
- Golden Key Research Grant
- This grant allows members to conduct thesis research and/or present their research at professional conferences or student research symposia. (at least six awards of $1,000!)
- Study Abroad Scholarship
- This scholarship assists members who participate in a study abroad program. (at least seven awards of $1,000!!)
- Regional Student Leader of the Year Award: United States
- This award recognizes one Golden Key member in each of the Golden Key's 13 regions for outstanding commitment to the Society and display of effective campus and community leadership with maintaining superior academic performance. (one award of $1,000)
- Golden Key Math Scholarship
- This award recognizes members who excel in the study of math. (at least two awards of $1,000)
- GEICO Life Scholarship
- This award recognizes outstanding members who achieve academic excellence while balancing additional commitments such as family and/or career. (ten awards of $1,000!!)

This is just a reminder about the wonderful scholarships that are available through Golden Key!
Remember that one of your benefits as a member of Golden Key is to apply for this money.
A couple of the deadlines are right around the corner, but there are many more throughout this semester! So apply!
GK Scholarships:
- Council of Advisors Award (at least 4 $10,000 winners)
- DEADLINE: January 15, 2011
- This scholarship award is adjudicated by the Golden Key Council of Advisors. This scholarship supports members' post-baccalaureate study at accredited universities anywhere in the world.
- Golden Key Graduate Scholar Award (at least ten $10,000 awards)
- DEADLINE: January 15, 2011
- This is Golden Key’s premier scholarship award. This scholarship supports members' post-baccalaureate study at accredited universities anywhere in the world.
- Golden Key Law Scholarship (at least one winner of $5,000)
- DEADLINE: March 1, 2011
- This award recognizes members who excel in pre-professional or professional programs leading to an initial law degree.
- Biomedical Science Award (at least one winner of $5,000)
- DEADLINE: March 1, 2011
- This award recognizes members who excel in pre-professional or professional programs leading to careers in human or veterinary medicine, dentistry, biomedical research or other related professions.
- Visual and Performing Arts Achievement Award (at least one winner of $1,000)
- DEADLINE: March 1, 2011
- This award recognizes the visual art talents of Golden Key members in nine categories – painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, computer-generated art/graphic design/illustration, mixed media, instrumental performance, vocal performance and dance.
- Literary Achievement Award (at least one winner in each category will receive $1,000)
- DEADLINE: March 1, 2011
- This award recognizes the literary talents of Golden Key members in four categories - fiction, non-fiction, poetry and news writing.
- Engineering/Technology Achievement Award (three winners will received $1,000-$2,000)
- DEADLINE: March 1, 2011
- This award recognizes members who excel in the study of engineering or technology.
- Education Achievement Award (three winners will receive $1,000-$2,000)
- DEADLINE: March 1, 2011
- This award recognizes members who excel in the study of education.
- Community Service Award (at least one winner of $2,000: $1,000 for recipient & $1,000 to recipient's organization)
- DEADLINE: March 1, 2011
- The Golden Key Community Service Award recognizes at least one member for outstanding service to the community.
- Business Achievement Award (three winners will receive $1,000-$2,000)
- DEADLINE: March 1, 2011
- This award recognizes members who excel in the study of business.
