BIOGRAPHY

Giselle Hernandez is a graphic designer and visual artist based in Los Angeles. She was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia and received her BFA from University of Hawaii at Manoa. In 2007 Giselle started 38centro based on the idea of creating a type of hybrid design where raw elements found in the environment blend with technology to form a whole. Giselle's creative inspiration is equally influenced by her cultural background and everyday experiences. Being raised in a country where the colors of the landscape are untouched and pure made her inevitably passionate for nature. She's also greatly inspired by the intensity of the city and the natural art forms that can be found in the space that surrounds her. She loves patterns, textures, vibrant colors and lines. The use of these elements throughout her work communicate a palpable sensation that makes design feel like a living thing.
