Motion Graphic Design

Motion Graphic Design introduces the basic principles of animation using the basic tools of graphic design. Geared mainly toward applications for the web, students in this course work on projects that combine elements of shape, image, typography, and sound in time-based presentations.

  2. Then bring the sentence to life by animating the letters and words using Flash.

Mid-term Assignment: Motion Design Animation Project [MIDTERM]Due: Week9A

  1. Choose a format (title sequence, logo animation, experimental animation, flash intro, music video, short film, etc.).
  2. Start by figuring out the audio, writing the script, and storyboarding.
  3. Graded drafts will be due weekly. 1st round drafts are due next week.
Week 9: Motion Graphic Design Project [MIDTERM]

  1. Decide what your flash site will be - the choice is yours. Examples: you can make up your own site, choose a hypothetical client, redesign an existing site, or find a real client and build a real site.
  2. Start designing your flash site right away. Start with sketching, then work in either Illustrator, Photoshop, or Flash to begin creating your site design.
