Gamma Chi Sigma Sorority is the oldest surviving sorority at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa. Founded in 1928, it was the first Greek letter social sorority established on campus.

Lois Bates Brenamen, Beatrice Buchanan, Frances Coxen, Ruby Gordon,
Dorothy Kemp, Frances Merley Peck, and Jane Worthington

Gamma Chi Sigma Sorority is based on four focuses: 

SISTERHOOD
the continual building of strong bonds with one another

SERVICE
serving our community through volunteer work/service projects

SCHOLASTICS
the emphasis on doing well academically

SOCIAL
getting together with other Greeks organizations, supporting one another, and having fun!

 

Today, Gamma Chi Sigma Sorority is more than 75 years old, with more than 500 total members.
