Opportunities!!
1.
The ENHANCE Project at the UH School of Nursing & Dental Hygiene
is
looking for student volunteers to assist in food data entry and diet
analyses.
Students
who are a part of the research team will be expected to provide accurate
and
thoroughdata
entry of 24-hour diet recalls using the Nutritionist Pro software. The
hours of
work are flexible; however, we ask for a commitment of approximately
10 hours per week.
It is
unpaid but students can use this experience to enhance their resume!
There is also
possibility for acknowledgment in a professional journal. If you are
interested or would like
more information, please contact Jan Yomogida, R.D., M.A. at 956-4550.
2. Pali Momi will be having a booth at Kids' Fest 2010
and is seeking student volunteers.
The fair is SUNDAY. OCTOBER 18th from 9-3 at Bishop Museum. The theme
is "Fuel Facts -
Do you know what your fueling into your body?".
Volunteers
will be given a t-shirt and lunch on that Sunday and certificates at
a later date.
There are no split shifts as Renee
Cha , RD will be in Denver for FNCE so we get to have fun
all day :-) If anyone is interested, please contact me. They are expecting
around 1200-1500
participants to stop at the booth. So get ready and have some fun!
