Fall 2009 Office Hours

Office hours are

• regularly scheduled (through Thursday December 10th, but not including Thanksgiving break):
  1. Tuesdays, 9:30am-10am
  2. Wednesdays, 2pm-3pm (except only 2pm-2:45pm on Sep 18, Oct 21, and Nov 18)
  3. Thursdays, 9:30am-10am
• or by appointment (email or call to make the appointment),
• or when you walk into my office and I don't tell you I am busy.

The following apply to office hours:

• You are welcome to call me or come to see me in my office without an appointment and outside of my regular office hours. If you do, ask me if I am busy, and I will let you know if I am available to talk at that time.
• I plan to reply to email within 24 hours (I will often reply sooner) except on Fridays and weekends and holidays, when I may or may not reply within 24 hours.
• I am happy to meet outside of the scheduled office hours, and occasionally also on evenings or weekends or holidays: send me email or call me to arrange an appointment. If you send email, you may want to suggest two or three different times when you are available to meet.
• If I have to travel or otherwise miss a scheduled office hour, I will send mail to the course mailing lists. There are no scheduled office hours on holidays.
