Fall 2006 Office Hours

Office hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 11:30am-12noon, and Tuesdays 1pm-2pm, or by appointment.

The following apply to office hours:

• I am sometimes a little bit late for office hours. The MWF office hours are scheduled right after class, and if I am talking with students after class, I am sometimes a little late. If I am, please wait outside my office.

  The Tue office hours are scheduled after a time when we often have faculty meetings, which sometimes go over. It would be wise to assume the Tuesday office hour actually begins at 1:15pm.

• If I have to travel or otherwise miss a scheduled office hour, I will send mail to the course mailing list. There are no office hours on holidays.
• I will do my best to reply to email within 24 hours except on Fridays and weekends.
• I am happy to meet outside of the scheduled office hours, and occasionally also on evenings or weekends: send me email or call me to arrange an appointment. If you send email, please suggest at least two or three different times to meet.
• You are welcome to call me or come to see me in my office without an appointment and outside of my regular office hours. If you do, ask me if I am busy, and I will let you know if I am available to talk at that time.
