Note Supplement : Aaliyah
08/27/2001 0:20
On a sad note... R&B Singer Aaliyah died
~Saturday. Crashed while en route from the Bahamas to Florida. This
is truly saddening... Some of her songs I liked include :
Are You That Somebody . . . ca. 1999 I never really liked : Four Page Letter . . . ca. 1999 But maybe I should listen closer to the lyrics... I dunno... it's sad you know? Even though you don't know them in person, their work is like an inroad into their soul; sometimes touching intimately. I guess this is the feeling you get when you lose someone you forgot you had... Forever you will be digitized... on my hard drive... in an ocean... on an island... of Hawaii. Yet, even now in retrospect I've come to realize the faint belief of our ephermality. Life, so fragile... slammed into a wall... into the ground... and back into the great scheme of things. "He felt something strike his chest, and that his body was being thrown swiftly through the air, on and on, immeasurable far and fast, while his limbs were gently relaxed. Then, because the picturemaking mechanism was crushed the disturbing visions flashed into black, and Paul dropped back into the immense design of things." -- Willa Cather "Paul's Case" rip Aaliyah, (~1979 - ~2001)
Added graphics?

Oh, my goodness!! I actually have an image in
the HTML! I don't know how long it will stick around since I'm such
a fickle person when it comes to design.
The note-title class got a little face-lift. Also, using the same image... I altered the info-title class. I was trying to go for a round edged window layout, but ended up with something that looks a little more creative than what I could have if I just used CSS manipulation or background color defaulting. Off site info : Tomorrow is round Three of Alu Like / HTI Career Exploration Program for me... I need to write up a small assortment of documents regarding my intrinsic wishes and wants. I hope I don't let myself down. I should really get to work on those... but instead I'll be go waste myself in some networked gaming : #nox, #malan on Battle.net via Star Craft(with Brood Wars Upgrade). Some people would call me a dork, or a nerd, or at most a corpulent code monkey. To those who dare call me that... I give my thanks. I am a Technodweeb!!! Hear me deplore!
Ex-ter-na-li-ty

Finally, a site update... As is normally the
case, I changed the site coloring theme. I like it more than the last
one...
I, also, have been toying with a digital camera...[KB JoyCam 2.0] It has got to be about the ugliest digital camera I've ever seen! However, it is, at the least, a means of inputting images into the computer... My thanks goes out to Oberon. Here is my first proffering : here. By request from a friend... I have removed logging of comments and feedback... the new feedback page is located : here. All email links now link to this page... I, also, modified navigatorial links... to fully represent a stream lined interface. I should really study design... Well, off again... till then... adieu to you. Is that it? _yes_
Another Weekend Fitfully Passed

Wheeeeeee! Sometimes I feel as if I write in
vain. Sometimes I think the only hits I get are my own self indulged,
pitiful, cynically inclined, diatribical natured attempts to situate
a miasmic mind.
One way is to sleep... and I'm off to do that. Back for round 2 @ HTI(Alu Like) tomorrow... I get to relearn how to type... Wheeeeeee! Yep... uh huh... yup yup!
Been so busy
08/18/2001 20:44
I've been attending a class. For the most part
it has helped motivate me into thinking not only about the present times,
but also about life beyond 30. I need to design, for this class, a binder
consisting of things such as my dream home, vehicle, and vacation. These
little projects will be used to help me truly plan for my personal well
being.
This past Friday, Admissions Day, was filled with environmental beauty, a misch of tumbling and crashing waves, and a few swollen body parts. An entourage of friends and I headed out to Waimanalo to a beach called Sherwoods. The shore breaks were at least 6 feet high... and they were breaking about ten yards off the shore. Alongside the stunning array of sets... was also quite an amazing set of asian chicks... whoa mama... Thank goodness for exchange students. Hopefully, I'll get to meet that girl again... My thanks to K,A&,W, and Oberon. Sadly, war_hippo left the island. Off to study Pharmaceuticals... best of luck. Site update... 2 off-the-top-of-my-head poems.
Added Documentation / Changes
08/10/2001 20:01
More changes have been added to the site. I
added some CSS code so that the scroll-bars are colored... Viewable
only with IE 5.5+ and other CSS2 browsers. I also added some code to
change the color of the link the mouse is over... A:hover for you CSS
buffs.
I also finished another introductory tutorial. it can be had here : A Look at CSS Big wheel keep on turning... Proud Mary keep on
rolling...
Documentation Effort
08/10/2001 9:54
In an effort to coordinate documentation of
current technologies I have written some documentation.
Documentation Guidelines If you're interested write up! Then, either send me the link, or the html. It's a work in progress as usual. If you would like to see some type of documentation perhaps to learn something prevalent through the net, yet still misty propose for it here. Documentation Proposal Entry Form To see what others have proposed already go here. Proposal Log Want to write? Go for it!
First Tutorial : A Look at HTML
08/08/2001 3:02
Due to popular demand, lack of sleep, as well
as complete boredom, my first pseudo-tutorial is now available : I try
to tackle introducing HTML to a newbie. I presume working computer knowledge
at least. And there, already is where I think I went wrong.
A Look at HTML A Work in Progress
XML Example
08/08/2001 0:45
I ported all my entries into one XML document...
added a simple XSLT with the same CSS code... go
here. The XML and HTML versions are both very similar because of
the use of CSS linked into the site... however, XML is much more extensible
and I'll add my own namespaces in a few days. Thereby foregoing all
HTML and moving to either XHTML formats or XML/XSLT formats... nonetheless
the site will be much more eXtensible. ;>
Gliding on to XML
:.
08/07/2001 3:18
Plan on reading all the files : #2 -->http://www.webreference.com/xml/column2/
Once that happens, I"ll be applying the site with XSLT and some XHTML... and then I'll be set for a fully homo-genous site! myPIM has been renamed to myNews. myNews | src / exe XML will rule the world!
Feedback and Log
07.08.2001 2:02
The Feedback form is now fully functional...
So when you add feedback not only will it send me a email, but it will
also redirect you to a page where you will be able to see what you sent.
Also, there now is a Feedback
Log. So, others can see what kind of comments I've been receiving.
Also added a little pun. I'll start posting some work in a few days or so... Tomorrow, however, is my interview for HTI! I can't wait! .:

History
#5
I'm still
looking for an easier way to automate my main page history conversion.
myPIM will be ported to Perl and eventualy sort this out, so I guess
I can deal with doing it by hand. Feh!
