Aloha,

E Komo Mai!

I am honored to have been chosen to teach for the University of Hawaii, West Oahu campus this year.

I was born here in Oahu, and recently relocated back after 33 years on the mainland. My dream of educating in Hawaii is coming true and I couldn't be more excited, as my mother is part of the University of Hawaii alumni as well.

For the past 7 years I have been a High School counselor in Los Angeles and Phoenix. Prior to that I worked for 10 years with K-8 graders at an enrichment based day care program in Seal Beach, Ca.

I have an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Long Beach City College, a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Education from California State University Dominguez Hills.

My mission statement for my professional involvement in education is:

Cooperative learning and thinking surpasses boundaries...share yourself, and you will change the world.

Mahalo for visiting my page!

Emily
