This page is for screen shots of my favorite flight simulator. Parsofts A-10 Attack 1.1 for the Macintosh is the most realistic flight simulator that I have ever played. All my knowledge about aircraft maneuverability and flight tactics was acquired from this game. Most of which helped me in flying X-Wings and Tie Fighters :) .

I first played this game when I received a shareware CD-ROM with some demos on it. It had a few good games on the CD like Graphic Simulations Corperation's "F/A-18 Hornet", Ambrosia's "Escape Velocity" and Fantasoft's "Realmz". A-10 Cuba Demo was the game that was on the CD that I really liked. Like all demos it was very simple. Just take off, arm your weapons, and blow away the bad guys. The best part was dog fighting with the Mig-29's. The chances of you actually winning are never to nothing. My kinda odds :) hehe..

I had never played a flight simulator before and I'm glad that this was my first simulator. Some other really good flight simulators that I have played before are Lucas Arts "X-Wing" for the Macintosh, "F/A-18 Hornet 2.2" for the Macintosh, and Lucas Arts "Tie Fighter" for MS-DOS. I have played other flight simulators that are kinda flakey. I don't want to mention any because I might offend the wrong people and get some hackers at the door step of my server or something.

Anyway... I also wanted to make something that was remotely original, instead of using pictures made by other people all the time. So I can say that these are my pictures and I didn't copy them from your site. Hope you like them, I sure do.

Screen Shots

These two screen shots are from A-10 Attack 1.1. The mission is called Antinov Armada. It takes place in Northern Germany where a convoy of cargo planes with valuable supplies are picked up on radar. My mission was to intercept the armada on their way to a Russian base. The picture on the left shows me shooting at a Russian cargo plane while being shot at by a Mig-29. If you look closely at my radar there is a strong line pointing down. That means someone behind me has a good radar lock. On the right is an after shot of me catching up with the convoy after I turned that Mig behind me to toast.

Dog Fighters

This is a picture taken from the A-10 Cuba Demo. This is a picture of an F-16 (left) engaged with a Mig-29 (right). They would most likely be using their after burners to get out of each others way, but they shot each others out.

Some F-16 Iron Eagle's

On our left we have two F-16's taking off from Hamburg International Airport in Germany. This shot was taken from A-10 Attack. These two F-16's are about to escort my A-10 while taking out some S.A.M. (surface to air missile) sights. On the right we have an F-16 that got toasted, that isn't an afterburner.

Some burning Mig-29's
On our left we have a Mig-29 with it's afterburner on the left engine and a fire in the right engine. If you look closely you can see a seat in the mid-right side of the picture. The pilot ejected and his para-chout is beginning to open. In the top-right you can see white smoke. That is where the pilot ejected. On our right we have two F-16's trying to get a piece of a burning Mig-29. All that white smoke coming from the Mig is hallon trying to extinguish the fire.

Some burning A-10 Thunderbolts

On our left we have an A-10 that wasn't quite prepared to engaged two Mig-29's. I couldn't dodge all of the side winders. I'm only missing a right tail ruder, a left wing, and both engines are on fire. I just bailed out when I found one of those side winders. I was surprised I actually survived a hit. I heard stories about A-10's in Desert Storm that came back with out a tail or one wing. Man those pilots deserve some credit. On our right... I didn't have time to bail out. My plane is actually in flyable condition. The Mig on my tail shot my right engine, right wing, and my pilot. Funny thing was that my plane was perfectly aligned with my target cargo plane in front of me. From a distance it would look like I was an escort on fire.

Crash Landing

This is a shot of my best attempt to belly land my plane after it got shot up by a few A.A.A. guns. A triple A (anti aircraft artillery) gun shot up the bottom of my plane. Took out one wing, one engine, and two landing gears. Wouldn't have been a good idea to put down the third landing gear.
