In Attendance: Bruce Henson, Sylvia Curtis, Jim Dwyer, Susana Tejada, Sandy Mooney, Zoe Stewart-Marshall

1. Following up on pending business from Midwinter, Zoe Stewart-Marshall was confirmed as Vice Chair/Chair Elect for 1999-2000.

2. Sylvia gave a report from the LITA Committee/Interest Group meeting
   1. circulated LITA Strategic Initiatives
   2. IGs have to do an annual report - show how we are meeting strategic initiatives
   3. work on a best practices guidelines on subjects related to the Interest Group
      • idea: education related to technology and the arts
      • idea: collaboration with other arts groups developing guidelines

3. Planning for 2000 Chicago ALA Annual Program
   • we are confirmed for the Monday 11:30a slot
   • Conference Topic: What is Visual Literacy - how to find, search for visual resources, how to use them
   • Main Arts Section presentation: Visual Literacy

4. Preliminary Planning for 2001 San Francisco ALA Annual Program
   • What is the topic for the 2001 Conference
   • Jim Dwyer suggested Performance Poetry - Poetry "slam"
     Possible co-sponsor - Poets House?
   • Need to be in pre-planning mode during San Antonio: organize a Program Committee

5. Website: Needs more content
   • What info to make it more useful to members?
   • What info to inform web surfers interested in technology and the arts
