WELCOME to the Joint ACRL/LITA
Technology and the Arts Committee and Interest Group
This joint group was established in 1994. Its mission is to promote examination by librarians of technology applied to the organization, retrieval, and representation of information in the fine arts, architecture, cinema, dance, etc. Its goal is to encourage cooperative efforts between ACRL ARTS and LITA.
Areas of interest include:
- Fine Arts
- Theatre Arts
- Dance
- Music
- Digital Storytelling, Poetry and Fiction
- Film, Video and Television
- Architecture
- Related Associations and Sites

The Technology and the Arts group welcomes new members from both ACRL and LITA. There are many opportunities for ALA members to get involved in committee work, program planning, and professional exchange. Meetings take place at each ALA Annual and Midwinter conference and interested people are welcome to attend.
