I'm a recent PhD in theoretical physics at the University of Hawai'i, supervised by Susanne Still. I am broadly interested in the connections between statistical physics, information theory, and biology. My two most recent projects covered applying a non-equilibrium model to refine predictions of the abundances of biologically important molecules in the early Earth, and exploring the fundamental limits on the performance of information engines that extract work from temporal correlations.
