Assessment Methods
The methods that you use to assess student learning will depend upon the nature of the objective you are assessing, but some general guidelines to consider are:
- Validity and Fairness- Does it measure what it intends to measure? Does it allow students to demonstrate both what they know and are able to do?
- Efficiency- Is the method of assessment consistent with the time available in the classroom setting?
