For your e-portfolio in this class please use predominantly English text. If you wish to add text in another language, such as "welcome" in other languages, I would suggest using roman-alphabet characters if you are a beginner. However, if you are a bit more advanced and would like to add a word or two in a non-roman script there is a link below to a site that converts characters to Unicode.

Examples of characters inputted using Unicode

歡迎光臨 ("Welcome" in Chinese characters)

猴年吉祥 ("Good luck for this Monkey year" in Chinese characters)

アロハ ("Aloha" in Katakana)

Website for finding the Unicode for Chinese characters

Pinyin info: Convert Chinese characters to Unicode (also works with Japanese hiragana, katakana, and kanji)

To use this site, find the characters you would like to encode anywhere on the Internet. Copy and paste the characters into the "Input your text:" box. Then click on the "Convert" button. The resulting code can be copied directly into your web page.
