State of Hawai'i 

Overview of the Hawai'i Judicial System is a unified state court system that functions under one administrative head, the Chief Justice of the Hawai`i Supreme Court.

Hawai'i State Judiciary is one of three branches of state government in Hawai`i, and is responsible for administering justice in an impartial, efficient and accessible manner according to the law.

Family Courts rule in all legal matters involving children, such as delinquency, waiver, status offenses, abuse and neglect, termination of parental rights, adoption, guardianships and detention.

District Courts includes jurisdiction over traffic infractions and landlord-tenant disputes, and non-jury trial civil cases where the contested amount is under $10,000.
