I am enrolled in the University of Hawai'i at Manoa Masters of Library and Information Science program. I expect to graduate in the Summer of 2007. This e-portfolio contains information about my professional and academic experience.
Objectives
I am seeking a librarian position that combines reference with instruction as well as web design which would optimize my background in information technology and skills that I have developed in library school. Having spent many years in the Information Technology I am very comfortable using and learning to use computers and computer software.
One of my key experiences was the combining of my internship and the LIS665 - Teaching Information Technology Literacy in Spring 2006 . The major focus of the internship was working on the online tutorial LILO (Learning Information Literacy Online). One of the major projects of the LIS665 course was developing a set of rubrics to be used to assess the effectiveness of the online tutorial.
