Untitled
Sandee Saito

Come then,
leave the insensate arms of this voluptuous world.
You, china doll, have been deceived.
Like cracked porcelain,
your beauty no longer stands.
We are one and many,
this flushed expedition,
anachronous children without instruction.
And wasn't it, after all, sacrificial
to heed the silent restraints,
to cause desire to revolt from the once mutinous heart?
There is no forgiveness here.
Now pallid,
mute as stone,
we wander through barbarous emotions,
memory scathing as fire.
