True Disappointment
Kelly Leilani Roberts

I present myself with a tall chest and my head held high.
In a few minutes, I'll die or fly.
My heart beating like the sound of racing trains.
Even the energy of my breath of life pains.
The nervousness and anxiety rush through my petite figure as if the
adrenaline was about to explode.
Deep breath, determination, concentration, tension, get a grip
O.K. begin.
The power and the beauty through the intense steps.
I pour out my heart through my strength.
The moves flow like the superior eagles that soar through the endless
blue.
Like a wave of an alive light gliding out of my body,
and out through my fingertips, entering into the spectators that fills them
up with wondering awe.
My all is on a mighty pedestal for all to love or hate.
Which one will it be?
As I discover the result, my soul takes it's own life in agony.
Full of misery and distress my heart pierces a bullet of anger
into itself as it drops dead to the earth.
As my shattered scarlet lay desolate on the wooden floor,
the vultures devour me it in seconds.
