Only a Fool
Luana Kaopuiki

Listen to my Heart
like the darkness of night,
consumes all
in a violent rapture.

Torn from my passion of Love
destined to dwell alone,
rock solid moon illuminates
while I remain empty.

Guilt and Embarrassment
stalk my emotions,
an obsessive weakness
seals my fate.

A wandering prisoner
in the Labyrinth of Fate,
corridors morph
into an endless path.

I find myself in a meadow
flourished with frolic and fragrance,
yearning to know the thrill
and satisfying sensations.

I am swallowed
by the shadows of night,
I retain purity but
my innocence is forever tainted.

I have danced and dueled with desire,
and remain lost in Love.

Never Too Late

Welcome all you new recruits
look deep into your soul,
Ask yourself why you are here
and question where you go.

Do you come by urge
from your own free will,
or are you pushed along?
Always tempted by
what people say,
who often are all wrong.

Full of lies
they set the trap,
those friends you trusted most;
surrounding you
with fallacies,
that prey on you as host.

What friends are these
whom people keep,
that pressure what you know.
Not allowing you
to make the choice,
and take the learning slow.

Remember what I say to you
and carefully decide,
cause what you do to live your life
might just be suicide.
