I spent almost three years in Japan before returning home to Hawai'i to pursue my Master's degree. It was an experience that I won't forget. I lived near a rice paddy and a local farm. In the winter, I slept in a room heated only by a kerosene lamp and ate gruel. Many Japanese homes and apartments lack centralized heating. I had to buy an electric carpet, electric blanket, electric grandmother, and electric toothbrush. Only my PlayStation kept my mind from completely freezing over. Now I don't play it at all. My PS2 rulez! If you have PS2 games, let me know. We can compare cheat codes and strategies! Do not challenge my Virtual Fighter skills! I will crush you! Nah.
I also won $100 a dance contest at a local club when I was 20 years old, but that was AGES ago. Don't ask me to reproduce the moves now as I'll probably suffer a hernia or a slipped disc or break my neck, possibly even lapse into a coma and you would be sad. I entered a second dance contest a year later, but only got second place because the winners were exceptionally funny when inebriated. After the second contest, a fellow competitor (who did lame 70s disco moves to a 80s song) walked up to me and said, "Dude, you only won because I was totally holding back. Give me 20 bucks." I wasn't very touched by his congratulatory attitude. We almost "beefed." Luckily, my Zen-mind kicked in and my personal Yoda told me not to be a "brawla'," even though my Jet-Li inspired kung fu style, "He Who Plays GTA Vice City A LOT" would have sufficed to scare that individual. So I calmed down, counted my money, smiled, and walked away. Ta da! I still go dancing at certain clubs. (Won't tell ya folks which-I wouldn't want you to think I had a "LIFE" outside of school. Ha ha ha hahahaha).
At this point in time, I await the release of Soul Calibur II for PS2, even though I don't think Heihachi is as cool as Spawn or perhaps even Link.
Updates: I bought Soul Calibur II and got every unlockable there is to get...so...what's next? I'm bored. Feel free to amuse me. I'm easily amused.
