Overview: Unless you have willfully
decided to live your life free from technology (largely
impossible, since you are reading this on your computer
and probably came to school today on a motorized vehicle),
you will be exposed to technology on a constant basis
until the day you die. This assignment tasks you to
think about your exposure and reliance on technology—it
is meant to make you critically assess the positives
and negatives of your technological dependence. |
Task Two: I Could Not Live Without .....
This task asks you to take a stand and make a decision—looking
at your list of technologies you rely on, which one
could you simply not live without? In other words, this
would be the classic desert island paradigm–which
technological device, which would still be in full working
order and able to perform all of its tasks, do you truly
rely upon the most, and its loss would be WHOLLY detrimental
to your well being.
