Using your hawaii.edu email to route email for yourself

The primary means I use to communicate with you is through email. Nonetheless, since so many of you have a wide abundance of emails, and funky ones like OX0X0XOXO***#*#$*#ambeS93912rloveschachi@hotmail.com, or 0o0o0o0o0o0ohungryforrainbowdrivein@yahoo.com, it becomes very difficult for me to keep track of elements. As such, I use your hawaii.edu mail accounts in case I need to contact you. To me, this is far preferable to calling you at home, which often entails someone other than yourself answering the phone. Legally, I'm not allowed to speak with your parents, grandparents, or siblings about your progress in this class, which is why I prefer email.

"But Mr. K," you scream..."I don't check my hawaii.edu mail; I prefer yahoo, hotmail, and roadrunner!"

Okay, okay. No need to raise your voice. Follow these directions and you should be good to go: your hawaii.edu address can route messages into the email system you use the most:

If you prefer an address other than hawaii.edu, use the mail forwarding function built into the UH mail program. Once this is set, mail sent to your hawaii.edu address will automatically be forwarded to your preferred mailbox (e.g., Hawaii RoadRunner, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.). If you want to do this, here's how: Go to your UH Web Mail page. Click on Options. In the left window, click on Settings. In the Mail Forwarding box, type in your preferred email address. Click on Save Changes, and you're done!
