Mr. K's picks, in random order; these are Mr. K's picks of books that have made him interested in reading and writing, so feel free to check them out and recommend some books to your teacher or fellow students. I feel like I could add 50+ titles to the list, but there's no way I want to add to them at this point because my fingers are getting tired of typing.

 Orwell, George Collected Essays essays One of the best essay writers. A classic!
 Gaiman, Neil The Sandman comics comics He is the lord of the Dreaming; he is Morpheus, brother of Death, and sibling to the other Endless.
 Goffmann, Irving The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life non-fiction/drama The author asserts that our identity can be compared to the life of a dramatist, one who plays in the shadows of the stage.
 Haddon, Mark The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night fiction The narrator, autistic, learns about the curious incident of a murdered dog. The intriguing narrative style of the autistic individual is quite compelling.
 Sagan, Carl The Demon-Haunted World: Science as A Candle in the Dark non-fiction/science The author has a classic "B.S. Detector," lessons on Occam's Razor, and an analysis of fairies, witches, and aliens.
 Shakespeare, William The Winter's Tale drama A jealous king thinks his wife has had an affair, and sets in motion a tragedy that eventually blossoms into a romance.
 Homer The Iliad classic You've seen the film; the book is especially intriguing, especially the section regarding the death of Hektor.
 The Onion www.theonion.com satire/parody Fake-ass news articles that have a satirical edge--HILARIOUS!
 Napier, Susan Anime: From Akira to Princess Mononoke non-fiction/anime Critical analyses of the most seminal anime works --very interesting stuff.
Proust, Marcel Swann's Way romance, novel Some of the longest sentences in the English language, this novel tells the story of M. Swann and his lover, O. Crecy.
