Movie Review (10 points)

Due 4/21 (Monday) in class

Write a 750-word review of one of the following movies.  The review should focus on what the movie says about race and gender relations.  Emphasize your understanding that the constructions of gender are racialized and the constructions of race are gendered.

The paper must utilize the frameworks and ideas you’ve learnt about in this course.  I do NOT want a rehash of what media pandits think.  I want to find out what you think and how the class helps you reassess these movies that have been acclaimed for making powerful statements about U.S. society.

I reserve the right to fail you for the course  if you plagiarize, i.e. download a review from the web or any other source.
