hull flying breath

I didn't think I would like Hawaii, but there are definitely a lot of great things to see and do here in a small space. The scenery lives up to its reputation, from rain forests and precipitous green ribbed volcanic cliffs to dry scrub and solid rock outcroppings. There is a series of cliffs near Kaena point which are very easy to top rope from, and I intend to go take advantage of it more often. Also, I have recently started tossing around a rugby ball again with a group of Tongans. As you can imagine, I spend a great deal of my leisure time in Hawaii in or on the ocean, including open ocean swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and kayaking. I also have acquired a 16 foot catamaran, which usually takes precedence over other activities. It is a great way to see the island and other islands (so far I've sailed only to Molokai and Lanai, but plans are in the works to hit Maui and Hawaii at some point). Click here for some sailing pictures (thanks to Paul McKimmy for the picture to the left above, and to Sara Fischlowitz for taking pictures, including the one above, of me lounging about on the rugby pitch).
