Message from the President of CSSAUH

Aloha~! Welcome to visit our Chinese Students and Scholars Association at UH (CSSAUH) web site.

Actually the first word I learned here is Aloha, which is a traditional greeting and farewell. Hawaii State is also nicknamed Aloha State. From this name, you may find it is a friendly, peaceful, and happy place to live.

Here I want to introduce another famous Hawaiian word, Ohana, which means family. The goal of our CSSAUH is trying our best making our Chinese students and scholars here have a feeling of family (ohana).

Found in 1984, the CSSAUH is an officially registered independent organization. It is non-profit, non-partisan, free-religious, and democratically self-governed. It serves as a community-based social organization for friendship and mutual assistance among its members and friends.

From June 12, 2003, I became the 19th president of CSSAUH for the academic year of 2003-2004. On July 29th, an officer group of 6 was assembled.

This year, besides from traditional activities, we will try to revise the web site and restart membership registration.

I believe with the help of all my officers, we will do a good job serving our members.
