Animation Effects


1. The animation effects button allows you to add special features to your presentation. When you click on it, the following selection box will appear.

2. Select either the title or the text box of the PowerPoint® slide and then click on the desired animation effect. Effects include typewriter sound, laser sound, screeching car, and fly-in effects.

3. Although these special effects have the ability of making a PowerPoint® presentation impressive, be warned that if you intend to convert your presentation into web-based instruction, many of these special features will be lost.

4. To custom design your animation effects, click on the last button on the bottom of the animation box. The following selection box will appear.

5. The "Entry animation and sound" choices are changed by clicking the arrows to the right of the appropriate selection. Also, the "After animation" effect is chosen by clicking on the arrows at the side of the "After animation" box.

6. Click on the desired effect, and then click on "OK."

7. To preview your animation effects, use the slideshow feature, which is covered in Different PowerPoint® Views.

8. To delete the animation effect, select the title or text box on the PowerPoint® slide and then click on the first button on the top row of the animation box for the title, or the second button on the top row of the animation box for the text body of the presentation.
