Adding Slides to the Presentation

1. The following group of buttons are useful when you wish to add slides to your presentation.

2. Click on the "new slide" button to add additional slides. The following selection box will appear, with the most recent layout pre-selected.

3. If you desire the same slide layout on the new slide, click "OK." Otherwise click on the desired slide layout first, and then click "OK."

4. A new slide will appear with the preselected boxes for text, clipart, titles, or charts.

5. The slide layout button allows you change the layout of the slide, without adding a new slide, click on the "apply" button.

6. The apply design button allows you to change the background design after you have started working on the presentation. However, all slides in the presentation will be changed to reflect the new background.

7. The black and white view button enables you to view a presentation in black and white, as well as having a slide miniature window with color view. This is helpful if you plan to print black and white handouts from a color presentation. Not all background designs transfer well from color to black and white, so it allows you an opportunity to find a design that is acceptable both ways.

8. The last button in this group is the "zoom" button. The PowerPoint® default is 76%. Click on the arrow next to the % to change the viewing size.
