Your Scholarship Program
The Scholarship Program was created by the NMEA Board of Directors in 1995 to assist members in attending the Annual Conference. There are 13, $350 scholarship awards available to members who live in the United States and four, $500 awards for NMEA members who live in other countries. The Annual NMEA Auction, held at each Annual Conference, provides funding for the scholarships.

Criteria
Scholarship awards are based on financial need of the applicant. Geographical location and order of receipt of the completed applications are not considered in the decision to award scholarships. Applicants must not be an NMEA Officer, voting member of the Board of Directors, or an Institutional or Corporate member, and must not have been awarded a scholarship for the last three NMEA Annual Conferences.

Selection and Award
All applications that are received by the deadline will be acknowledged. Applications for NMEA scholarships are confidential and will be seen only by the NMEA Scholarship Committee, made up of four NMEA members. Selection will take place by the end of April, and all applicants notified of the results as soon as possible thereafter. Successful applicants must have completed the regular conference registration form and will be reimbursed at the conference.
