The mission of the Department is to create such a society through innovative and collaborative personnel preparation, research and scholarly activity, and advocacy.

The goal of the Department of Special Education is to provide University students with information and skills in working with persons with disabilities. 

Our faculty and staff are committed to preparing educators who desire to help children reach their potential.
