I'm a fool, fool, fool for you. I made a CD that starts with Alan Jackson, ends with Prince and has Kapena somewhere in between. I like it. Because it's full of songs I picked and I didn't have to ask Eugene's Brother or Brother Mart to burn it for me. Of course i have better things to do with my time than learn how to use the funner aspects of this computer, and someday I'll get around to them. Like make an appointment to get new glasses or contacts, read up on supreme empress math teacher Marilyn Burns, trim my laminated die-cut numerals, get my WebQuest done. Hey speaking of that I have class in 1.5 hours. My WebQuest is due this week (or next week, but there's the option of not coming in at all next week so guess I'll be getting it done tonight.)

It's Day 9. Priority right now is keeping physical energy and mental clarity at reasonable levels. I'm still considering adding fish once a week -- I have this hope that it will add all kinds of crazy good energy and nutrients. I have to say, this Lent was not the greatest time to radically change my general diet. Some days I feel burned out from doing absolutely nothing. The thing about veggie-ness, I'm finding, is that you have to be a very active eater. If you go about it passively you'll end up eating whatever is lying around that doesn't contain meat. Obviously to remain healthy and somewhat energetic, your food has to meet higher standards than just being meat-free. It's difficult and expensive, and you really have to know what you're doing to buy in bulk.

Time for class. I guess I'll get dinner on my way home. So far today aside from my square breakfast of oatmeal and papaya I've eaten ice cream from McDonalds, a lot of E's B's french (excuse me, Freedom) fries, and leftover broccoli soup. "Lunch" tasted great but upset my stomach.

Maybe I'm reformatting already.

Day 10. The verdict is in: Boca rocks my world. It was a little spongy but then that could be the fault of the school microwave.

We went to Pietro's with Connie and Benny tonight. Originally E's B and I were going to cook -- you know, reciprocate for the two or three times they've had us over to Benny's for a nice homecooked meal. Unfortunately the only day we could get together was today, Friday, which is a day of abstinence (from meat) for the Catholic Connie and Eugene's Brother and the Catholic and vegetarian-in-training me. We could have made fish but Connie is allergic to seafood and I wouldn't have eaten it anyway. Stir-fry (my answer to everything) veggies? Not exciting enough. So we had a (thrilling) meal at Pietro's, where the service was terrible but the company good. The food was so-so. Connie had this veggie pizza, E's B repeated the salmon and ikura mistake, I had spinach, broccoli and garlic oil spaghetti, and Benny ate a plateful of meat.

No danger of a long engagement for these two. They've already picked the wedding bands, the church, the reception ballroom, the month, and the honeymoon destinations.

I had another O & P today, but I'll complain about it at another time. If I write up my log and post it to the WebBoard tonight, I'll be ahead of schedule for the first time all semester. Actually, there's nothing all that great about that, considering my 25,000 other, overdue assignments, but it seems like a nice thing to be able to say: I'm ahead of shedule!

P.S. Go BRYAN!
