Trying to figure out how to use the web board for my math class. Valentiney weekend was luscious, leisurely, long. Friday I was supposed to cook, per arrangements we'd made earlier to stay out of a restaurant, and because we don't cook together nicely we decided I'd make somethign Friday and he'd make something Saturday. but Friday night Eugene's Brother begged to go to Compadres instead (just kidding, actually he doesn't like Mexican food but somehow we ended up there anyway.) He got me "Sweet Home Alabama" and I gave him some clothes he's going to return as soon as I find the gift receipt. Saturday was his turn. The menu: roast duck potstickers, steak, wineless scampi w/capers, broccoli. See, even if I had cooked on Friday I would have been majorly upstaged (this competitive itch is a major reason we don't cook well together.) But since he was mostly on his own Saturday (I played Grand Theft Auto while he slaved over a hot stove) it was all good. I felt the need to contribute something so I brought mashed potatoes (notice I didn't say "made.")

Sunday morning while I snoozed he made canadian bacon omelettes with char siu on the side.

I've been trying to get this entry done since Monday. It's now Wednesday afternoon and I don't remember anymore what happened Sunday morning. I guess I went home, went to church, or maybe I went straight to church, then took a nap before packing up Djali and toting her to another HawaiiStories picnic. We got to see Katie and Zac (who's got the cutest teeth!) and I was introduced to the pure evil that is Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia. Did my heart love before now?

In a little while I have to pick up the kids from Kiddiepark and then we're all going to doggie school. I think this is his second-to-last class. Then I have to take S&S to pick up dinner, then home to start homework (groan) and I should be home by 9:15, which means I SHOULD be able to get some homework of my own done tonight.

In math I'm still recovering, point-wise, from my Chocolate Jaunt ... having to argue for every little point is no one's idea of fun, but I'm not losing an A over one or two points (and "slide" and "freebie" are not in this professor's vocabulary. Period.)
