The pasta was good. The sauce was meaty. The salad was warm spinach + sauteed scallops. The sparkling wine was tasty. (I think you're supposed to have red with pasta, but neither of us enjoys red. Unless we're already smashed, which is unfortunately never.)

I devised a new schedule for work which would give me Tuesdays off, but then I heard from the GLC that I might be deported to another department. Just when I was beginning to stop feeling guilty about being paid so much to do so little. Ha, I'm just kidding. I work very hard.

All sarcasm aside I occasionally feel guilty because I get paid to do the same things this other classification of staff does, but because I have a bachelor's degree, I have a better-paying position. There should be a lot more back-breaking work involved, or at least lesson plans, but this year because the grade level made some strange decisions regarding scheduling, I pretty much do easy work for a lot of money.

I'm jinxing myself here, aren't I.

Anyway so far I just count my blessings, take initiative where it's appropriate, and cross my fingers that the extra time and unused brain cells will serve me well in other areas. Like not flunking out of school.
