Focus: The tour will illustrate life in the 1880s during King Kalakaua's reign.

Task: Your assignment is to identify an object you saw in the palace that caught your interest. Describe the object, any information you learned about it, and how it is connected to the history of the palace and/or its royal occupants.

Format: One typed page (approximately 200-250 words). Handwritten assignments will be accepted if legible. Please provide word count at the end.

Due: Tuesday, April 28, 2015

Palace House Rules

• No touching is permitted in the Palace and Gallery.
• No flash photography or video recording is permitted in the Palace and Gallery.
• Please carry your purses and bags in front of you. Only back-packs, purses, or bags that meet the size requirements may be taken inside of the Palace. Do not set purses or bags on the floor or furniture. You are not allowed to leave your bag on the lanai. There are lockers in the Barracks for your convenience.
