Classroom Concerns
Energy Conservation & Recycling

Please turn off lights when you leave a room. If you believe yours is the last class of the day, ask your department chair if you should turn off equipment such as computers, fans, and air conditioners.

Bottle and Paper Recycling are available at the following campus locations: Kalia, Iliahi, Ohia, Olapa, Olona, and Kopiko.

KCC’s recycling program is a service-learning project managed by students in cooperation with the City & County of Honolulu. Revenues from bottle and paper recycling go to KCC’s Environmental Sustainability pathway to promote further efforts. Please encourage your students to recycle bottles and cans appropriately by emptying and removing caps on bottles, and by keeping recycling bins free of trash. For more information on KCC’s recycling program, or to report a problem with a recycling bin: Go to Contact List, see Recycling.
