All photos were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 995 digital camera. An Aquatica 995 underwater housing was used for all underwater photos. These were illuminated using two Ikelite Substrobe 50 flashes, each on a long arm that allows side illumination (especially important for gelatinous animals). Some photos were taken in glass or acrylic phototanks that allow for illumination from the side or top with a handheld flash. Microscope photos were taken using an MMCool adapter for the camera.
