1.     Financial Aid Report

       Cathy provided update from last meeting’s financial aid report

       Data needs to be clarified

       Find ways to communicate the availability of financial assistance

2.     Marketing Efforts

       Alice Luther reported on marketing trip to Japan; hula 

       Halau suggested as a medium for future contact

       Alice to provide written report

3.     Pilina Student Life center

       Student lounge in Pilina opens 3/17/08; Elena working on simple opening; blessing is encouraged

       Ekela contacted minister

       Furniture to be moved back into center 3/19

       Need to expedite wireless connectivity in building

4.     Strategic Plan & Biennium Budget Process & Status

       Cap is $10 million

       Three proposals per campus; all need to relate to Strategic Plan

       No new CIP in biennium budget

       Stocktaking report postponed until April


5.     Name Change Update

       Draft of Maui CC name change request to BOR shared for comments


6.     Jim Brazell

       Need to select day for presentation between April 13-18; 4/16 suggested if large contingent of DOE participants; if not, 4/18


7.     National Oceanic Atmospheric Association Agreement (NOAA)

       Shared background on possible partnership


8.     WASC Sr. & WASC Jr.

       Discussion of differences between two commissions


9.     Program Review: Administrative Affairs

       David & staff presented the Administrative Affairs Program Review; report will be available online

       VC’s reminded to reinforce notification of new personnel on payroll lag

       Staff was commended for their outstanding efforts

10.  Program Review: Student     


       Alvin & staff presented Student Affairs Program Review

       Committee members are encouraged to give feedback on value of program review dialogue.

       Admissions & EOC to report at next meeting
