This will probably be the last formal newsletter of this semester so I'll try to cover the next four weeks here. Lifting our voices in unity --------------------------- This Saturday, April 22, at 7:00 p.m. on the second floor of the athletic department (in either the lecture hall or one of the adjacent studios), Chi Alpha will be joining with several other Christian groups on campus for a joint worship and praise night. It will feature songs and musicians from each of the various groups (our very own Joel will be playing bass) and it will surely be a great time of fellowship. Please come out and join us. "Parting is such sweet sorrow" ------------------------------ Our end-of-the-year/farewell banquet/party is planned for Friday, May 5. We are still not sure exactly where it will be or exactly how much it will cost, but we know that it's going to happen. More details will be coming up Thursday. Just make sure to keep that evening free (that means do your studying during the day). Differences in Thursday meetings -------------------------------- At the end of the semester we will be having different formats for Thursday meetings. The last Thursday of school, May 4 (that's the week before finals), in the spirit of the National Day of Prayer, the meeting will be completely prayer. The following Thursday, May 11 (that's the week of finals), we will not have a regular meeting. Instead Joel, and all the other lucky bums who will be done with their finals by then, will be hanging out in Wainani I with refreshments for anyone who wants to stop by and fellowship or get a prayer for Friday finals. A personal apology ------------------ Finally, I want to apologize to all of you for the unsolicited mail you've been getting recently such as the request from mindspring and the Pro-Life Internet list. You see, until recently, I included our mailgroup address on the UH Chi Alpha home page that I put on the World Wide Web. After the first batch of mail, I left the address there but added my own address after my name which also appears on the page. After the second batch, however, I removed our mailgroup address altogether. Hopefully this will lessen the mail flow from others who just happen to breeze by our home page. However, I still have the mailing list on a separate page in case any UH viewers have questions about what we are all about. I can't think of anything else to say. If I do later, I'll probably send out either a regular email or a full-blown special edition. Good luck on all your finals and your remaining midterms. May God guide your hands to the correct pages and the correct answers. Ritchard
