I hope you all had a great Spring Break. Now you only have five weeks to get through. This issue doesn't contain that many announcements so you should all read it. The Hottest Topic of Today -------------------------- Next week I will be presenting the Dean Sherman "Relationships" video series. It consists of five 1-hour-long tapes which will be presented over a period of two days. At the general meeting next week Thursday, April 13, in Wainani F lounge, I will be showing Part 1 --- "God Created Two Sexes." The other four tapes: "The Gift of Attraction", "God's Logical Loving Limits", "Celebration of Immorality", and "Philosophies for Dating" will be shown in succession the following day, April 14, Good Friday (that's a holiday by the way), starting from 9:00 a.m. in Joel's and Craig's apartment. Each tape will be followed by a time of discussion. Since it is a long series, we will also be pausing for brunch in between. This is an excellent, repeat, EXCELLENT series on relationships with friends of both sexes, relatives, and especially lifetime partners, both before and after marriage, in the Christian lifestyle. I STRONGLY encourage you to come both days because it is necessary to watch the entire series in order to get the full impact of what Dean will be talking about. Bring a pencil and paper to take notes, bring a Christian friend, and be prepared to be blown away. This event is open to everybody. That night there will be other events for the men and the women. I know the men plan to have a retreat or campout of some sort. The women probably have something planned too, but I'll let one of them explain. If you can make it to these nighttime events also, it would be great. The video series will give you a lot to think about and though we will be discussing it at the time we are watching it, it is even more helpful to discuss the material further in unmixed company. But if you can make it to one only, then come to the video series. Again, Part 1 will be shown at the Chi Alpha Meeting the Thursday after this coming Thursday, that is the 13th of April, in F lounge. The rest of the tapes will be shown at Joel's and Craig's place the next day, April 14, starting at 9:00. BE THERE OR MISS OUT BIG TIME!!!!!!!!! T-shirts are in --------------- The Chi Alpha T-shirts that some of you ordered have arrived. Check with Joel to receive yours. Kapena outreach --------------- Next Thursday, April 13, at lunch time, in the Campus Center Courtyard, Kapena will be sharing what God has done in his life. The event is sponsered by Victory Campus Fellowship. Bring an unsaved friend out and give Kapena your support. Integrated Worship Night ------------------------ Just a reminder, mark Saturday, April 22nd on your calendar. That night, at around 7 in probably the HIG auditorium, we will be joining with our brothers and sisters from other campus Christian groups in a time of worship and praise. It should be a blast. Political lobby --------------- One last thing, I'd like to take a couple seconds to promote some politics. A couple of Chi Alphans are running for ASUH. I am running for Arts and Science Senator and Senator at Large. Donna Yamasaki is running for president, and a friend of hers, Alma Trinidad, is running for vice-president. Please give us your support by casting votes for us at the ASUH elections next Monday through Wednesday (April 10-12) and encouraging your friends to do the same. That does it. May God bless you and keep you. May his face shine upon you and grant you peace. As finals get closer, we're definately going to need a lot of peace. Don't forget the Dean Sherman series April 13-14.
