Where are your articles, folks? It seems like the more I beg, the less I get. My response is Biblical: "My brothers (and sisters), this should not be!" (James 3:10 [NIV] taken way out of context). I know it was spring break and all, but a little something doesn't take much time or effort. To prove my point I will do something which I did last semester to prove the same point -- create a newsletter which contains absolutely no articles, only dull announcements. Again, I apologize to the mainland folks (who are also invited to send articles). ----------------- | ANNOUNCEMENTS | ----------------- MORE TO THIS LIFE ----------------- This is the name of a joint evangelistic outreach with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship on Thursday, April 11, from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Campus Center lower level dining hall (by Taco Bell). Set this time aside, bring friends, and listen for further details this upcoming Friday. NO BOOKTABLE NEXT MONDAY ------------------------ As the heading says, there will not be a booktable on Monday April 8, but it will continue the following week. FUN AND GAMES ------------- We will be having a Chi Alpha field day on Saturday, April 13, at Kanewai field. There will be games and a potluck, which means if you can provide a dish for that day, we would be very grateful. Contact Cheryl. MAD COWS -------- Friday, April 19, we will be having an alternative location for our Chi Alpha meeting, at an alternate time (6:30). It will not be the regular worship-study meeting, instead we will be joining up with the Baptist Student Union to watch the free "Frolic like a Heifer" concert debut in the BSU parking lot (on the corner of University Avenue and Vancouver Drive across from the BusAd building). You're probably asking, who on earth are these guys? True to their name, they are a bunch of crazy guys jumping up and down singing some cool tunes. I've heard a little bit of their music, and I must say they're pretty good. Come out and see them; in fact you may even know some of the band members. ;) THE NIGHT OF BONDING, SEGREGATION, SEPARATION, OR OTHER NAME ------------------------------------------------------------ This is event we never know how to name (although suggestions are welcome). It's the event where the guys and the gals form separate groups and go off and do stuff. It's meant to be a time where we can really get to know each other and share concerns pertinent to our lives outside the small group setting. It will be following the Friday meeting on 4/26. Amy is in charge of the women, Joel is in charge of the men. Stay tuned for more info. APRIL BABIES ------------ David Pak 8 Stacey Nagamine 28 ______________________________________________________________________________ That's the end. Doesn't it make you want to yawn? Please people, could you take just a few minutes out to send one the many inspirational messages and stories and experiences you come across every week? I would love to have it. It's just to keep this newsletter from becoming as bland as meatloaf.
