Here is yet another issue of the XA Internet Newsletter bringing you the events on tap. There's quite a few this time around. Chi Alpha Home Page is up! -------------------------- I have taken the pains to create a home page for our Chi Alpha chapter on the World Wide Web. Some of you have heard the term, others of you haven't the faintest idea what I'm talking about. The World Wide Web (WWW) is bonafide Internet. It is difficult to explain, but fun to use. A vast worldwide network with textual and graphical interfaces that cover everything under the sun. It is used for many different resources, some which are very helpful, others which are very destructive. You can surf the web through a couple of programs, most commonly Mosaic and Netscape. These are accesible from any computer which has windows among the labs on this campus. If you're still lost, don't worry about it. Because the Web is highly addictive, it's probably better that you don't understand. But for those of you who have been doing some Web surfing lately, or want to try, you can make a stop by our home page. It contains links to some documents, the national Chi Alpha home page, and a photoboard which contains various inlined images. The Uniform Resource Location (or URL) address is: http://www2.hawaii.edu/~rshadian/chialpha/homepage.html C U at the Pole --------------- This Wednesday, at 7:00 in the morning, Christians are going to be meeting by the flagpole in front of Bachman Hall to pray for our administration, and anything else. If you can make it, that would be great. Come and join in enforcing the power of prayer. Let's eat, and eat, and then eat some more ------------------------------------------ Slated for Saturday, March 11, is a progressive dinner. In case you haven't heard of it, that's where you eat a course at one person's house, and then go to another person's house to eat another course, and so on. We're looking for volunteers to help cook stuff, so see Cheryl if you would like to help. And now, here's some developments from the Student Leaders for Christ meeting last Monday. Reaching out ------------ Upcoming in March, the week before Spring Break (most likely), several of the Christian organizations on campus --- us, InterVarsity, Campus Crusade, Victory, New Genesis --- will be joining together to put on an outreach in the Campus Center Courtyard. We are looking for people who would like to assist by being musicians, participating in skits, or most boldly to give their testimonies. You won't be alone; the other groups will be helping out. If you feel led in this area, go for it! There will be an official sign-up this coming Thursday. Kapena outreach --------------- Another outreach will be happening on April 13, tentatively. This one is sponsored, I believe, by Victory. Kapena will be performing in Campus Center and sharing a little of what God has done in their lives. Let's get together and praise the Lord! --------------------------------------- On the drawing board, though not yet in the planning stages, is a praise and worship night for all the (legitimate) Christian groups on campus. It will probably be one Friday in late April, if it happens at all. Well, friends, I can't remember anything more, but if I recall something important, I'll surely let you know. In the meantime, God bless, and good luck on all those midterms. Ritchard
