"I Dreamed That I Was Actually From Another Planet/Dimension/Civilization and That I'd Been Incarnated Here"

Quick (career) background: M.S. in Applied Psychometrics, NBCC eligible; most of the way through an RN program (and planning to be a psychiatric nurse in addition to counselor and psychometrician). After that, I'm not sure, but a Ph.D in Clinical Psych looks likely. I'd like to do a JD/Ph.D and get into forensics. I'm in my mid 30s, and I used to be a data processing person (every job in the business except DP Manager).

I had the dreams you describe mostly as a child (single digit ages). That is, I dreamed that I was actually from another planet/dimension/civilization and that I'd been incarnated here. The dreams were recurrent and consistent.

Also, as a child, I was a 'lucid dreamer.' When a friend of mine's mother ridiculed me for talking about lucid dreams I lost the ability. I went to a dream workshop in early '86 and got the ability back (immediately). I've done dreamwork since then, off and on, and currently am involved with a dreamwork group.

By age 12 I'd developed an interest in metaphysics/parapsychology despite being raised in a particularly conservative Southern Baptist culture. Various so-called 'new age' interests fascinate me.

I've spent much of my life in altruistic pursuits. I've had the 'gullibility and guilelessness' that you describe, although my graduate training has helped counter that and protect me. This necessarily was true when I did part of my internship at a correctional facility.

I've never had a UFO experience or OOBE. But I do tend to be rather intuitive, and I have vivid dreams (as I mentioned). As a child I tended to be allergic in nature, and had terrible bouts of bronchitis (possibly allergic reactions). In general (except UFO experiences and OOBEs) I hit on most of your profile.
