As with so many things, the answer is yes and no. Yes, I've spent much time in serious research, inner and outer, and no, as I am aware that an appreciation of humor and irony - illustrations of life's paradox, dance, lila (play), chitshaktivilas (play of consciousness) - are necessary on the path of enlightenment.
This is a question I get periodically, sometimes genuine, usually not. This seeming question may actually be a statement from the questioner, "I have my own belief system and cannot tolerate any other." Or, it may be a genuine question by a long seeking individual, wondering if I and the message are 'for real'. The first, defensiveness, occurs in fundamentalism both religious (including newage) and scientific (scientism), both equally hide-bound. Such binding does serve a valuable purpose in the 3D stage of development, as it serves the person the way a support pole and guarding fence protect a young sapling tree from wind and predators until it can stand on its own. The second, is an all-too understandable reaction after a lifetime of difficulty finding one's place.
Yes, I have spent years in personal esoteric and meditation disciplines, which few academics deign to endure, and in academic study, research, teaching, and clinical counseling, assessment, intake, triage and referral in psychiatric facilities and emergency rooms - which few 'newage' counselors deign to endure. Yes, this is serious business and painfully real for both clients and practitioners.

What better way to convey the present paradox of developmentally-arrested 3D Earth human society, with its preconceived physical, psychological and spiritual boundaries than to show an ET dancing with a revolving globe? Presented is both the contrast and harmony of Earth's relationship with larger realities in its galactic 'neighborhood'. Alas, some don't 'get it', thinking I've either done my message a disservice or that this is evidence of lack of a serious message. Funny, isn't it? ;> This actually shows the questioner's lack of humor, perception and appreciation of paradox and archetype. Vulcan, life's cosmic blacksmith in the Greek tradition, eventually softens the metal and mettle of this recalcitrance through life's 'school of hard knocks'.
Earth society is in many ways undisciplined, and in other ways, all too serious, reminiscent of the varying reactions of the lost boys in Lord of the Flies. Seemingly left alone, without elders, some run riot, while others attempt too strenuously to control themselves and others. Ufos (of the positive polarity) playfully dance with Earth society, and carefully present themselves in ways so as not to abridge free will, yet to convey that "there is more to life than is dreamt of in your philosophy". The Ra material states that this presentation of 'mystery' is equal to infinity and unity. Or, as a favorite bumper sticker reads, "Astronomy Is Looking Up" :, The larger galactic family and society bring educational, uplifting, en-lightening influences.
Those who practice acceptance of these larger relationships indeed make good dancers! As the Indians and physicist Dewey Larson say, the creation is fundamentally one of motion. I'd add, "loco-motion"! :>
