Deal the 2 personal cards

Before you begin, make sure you shuffle the deck very good before dealing. When dealing, keep both cards face down. If a card flips over in the process of dealing, take back all the cards and deal again. These two cards are your personal cards which you will have a choice in using both, one, or neither.

Deal the “Flop”

Once everyone has their own personal cards, you need to “burn” (discard) one card by putting it face down on the side. No one will see this card. Next, you deal out three community cards, also known as the “flop”, face up for everyone to see. Community cards are to be used in combination with personal cards.

Deal the “Turn”

Before you deal the fourth community card, known as the “turn”, you need to burn another card. Once the burn card has been discarded, deal out one card, face up for everyone to see. This is the second to the last community card that will be dealt.

Deal the River

The “river” is the last community card to be dealt. Again, you first need discard of the last burn card. Now, you may deal the river, face up next to the rest of the community cards. The best hand using any combination of personal and community cards wins. Good Luck!
