Composition I E-Portfolio Overview English 100 seemed just like a normal composition course from an outsider's perspective, but it turned out to be so much more. Professor Henry made it clear that we were going to write a variety of genres and do so in multiple styles throught the semester so that we become an all-around writer. And to makes things better (or worse), this course would be based around the idea of sustainability. We, as people, tend to be ignorant and think of sustainability as "going green" or recycling. However, as the semester rolled along, I finally understood that sustainability, in its rawest form, is just the ability for our future generations to sustain and live life comfortably. Each of the five major assignments (geo-biography, place essay, mapping project, research project, and field trip report) relate to this sustainable idea, and some go as far as producing several plausible solutions. Not only did each piece inform my readers and I about sustainability, but they were also composed in different formats. The diversity kept me on my toes, even to the point where I couldn't believe the semester is almost complete. This e-portfolio contains all the work I have done in my first english of college, and I hope you enjoy browsing this portfolio as much as I enjoyed making it! SAVE THE ANIMALS!!! ![]() |
