Painter Scientific Illustration
Drawing and painting have always been an important part of my life. In college, I found that this skill, combined with my interest in biology, was highly sought after. As a researcher, I found this skill serves me well in  illustrating my own papers (see the maps, animal drawings, and images of equipment in my publications). Here are some examples of my work, which has been published in a variety of scientific journals, as well as all the illustrations in Mark Bertness' book, the "Ecology of Atlantic Shorelines" (Sinauer Associates, 1998).
