Moanalua Gardens is a public park located just off of the Moanalua Freeway. The park is often visited by tourists and residents. It is filled with monkey pod trees and a large green relaxing lawn. Inside the garden, there are plumeria and hibiscus trees. In the parking lot and around the garden, there are “birds of paradise” growing. The “birds of paradise” is a well known tropical plant in Hawaii. There is also a stream, a taro patch, and koi pond near the garden entrance. This site also has two houses, which was once used as a tea houses. Moanalua Gardens is a perfect place to hold picnics and get-togethers. It’s also a pleasant place to take a morning and afternoon stroll.
