Subject: Science

Age: 3-4th grade

Purpose: Students will learn about the environment of the wetlands.

Objective: SWBAT develop scientific analysis.

Procedure:

  1. Teacher will show a picture of the wetland.
  2. Teacher will then ask students if anything lives on the wetlands
  3. Teacher will then tell students that they will be going on a field trip to see if anything is living on the wetlands.
  4. Students will be divided up into two groups. One group will have cameras while the other group have test tubes. Students will either take pictures of living things or taking water samples. Students will have their pictures developed or be looking into a microscope. Write down their analysis.
  5. Student will then give an oral report of what they saw. Visuals will be used. They can show their camera pictures or their drawn pictures.
Evaluation: Students will be evaluated through their oral reports and participation.
