Model of Inititiation of DNA Replication at the ARS1

Model proposed to explain intitiation of DNA rpelication at ARSs Sequences.

Cdc7 and Dbf4 constitute a complex with kinase activity which phosphorylates other proteins at the ARS1 which form a complex covering domains A, B1, and B2 of the replicator. Upon activation of the whole arrangement, a replication bubble is formed presumably at domains B1 and B2. Abf1 and ORC proteins are bound to the replicator during most, if not all, of the cell cycle.
